Dismania is a Canadian heavy alternative band based out of Calgary, Alberta.

The band was originally founded by vocalist and guitarist Jesse Valentine and former bassist Blair Turner in the fall of 2022. The pair spent several months writing and recording the first music the band released, with Valentine playing drums for the original singles.

They recruited the band’s first drummer, Bruno Languasco, in May of 2023 and started playing live shows in July of 2023. Through June to September, Dismania released 4 singles, 2 EP’s and their debut album, Dismania, before Languasco moved out of the country. Former drummer Caden Miller then briefly joined the band, recording drums for Ode to the Lost Art of the Slumber Party Massacre (and two songs for the self-titled album) before leaving in March of 2024.

Current drummer, Liam Dali, joined the band in April. They began working on new songs right away, with Valentine bringing several songs he had written independently of Dismania. They took their first steps on the road with the ‘Sisyphus’ tour in May.

They released five singles throughout the spring/summer while working on material for their third album. Before the album's completion, Blair Turner announced his departure from Dismania, citing reasons relating to his personal life.

In his absence, Stolen Moon bassist Brett Klassen stepped in to record any remaining bass parts and perform live shows.

Dismania is currently made up of Jesse Valentine, Liam Dali and Brett Klassen.
